HELLO SPRING - A NEW BEGINNING

Every season in the Austrian mountains boasts its own unique beauty. Summer with its lusciously green jungles and long mild nights; autumn with its breathtakingly beautiful multicoloured hues; and winter with its magically white landscapes. Spring in the mountains is no different - it's a stunning season in which we witness the complete regeneration and springing to life of nature after the colder winter months. Blossoming trees, greening meadows, and the flourishing of wildlife as far as the eyes can see.

This year spring has also felt somewhat symbolic. Coinciding with the regeneration of nature all around us, we ourselves are witnessing a regeneration of society after the testing times endured by all in during what is being called the Coronavirus Crisis. The Coronavirus has taken the world by storm. Countries have been in lock-down, borders have closed, and travel restrictions have been enforced world-wide.

Like nature regenerates in Spring though, our society is once again starting to blossom. Austria officially came out of lock-down on the 30th April, in which we witnessed a dramatic storm at the chalet followed by a vivid rainbow - a sign that all storms do pass. Austria has since made steady progress to repair and return to a form of normality. All bars, cafes and restaurants will open on May 15th, and accommodations country-wide will once again open their doors to welcomed tourists on May 29th.

Although the summer season will then be happily back to business as usual, we have made a few changes to our cancellation policy to offer guests more booking flexibility between 31st May 2020 - October 31st 2020:

• We are still taking a 30% deposit within 2 weeks to secure a reservation. However, we are offering a free cancellation up to 8 days prior to arrival should a guest not be able to carry out their holiday with us due to the following two COVID-19 reasons: 1) The chalet is required to close, or 2) The Austrian borders are closed and you cannot reach the chalet

• Should you cancel before 8 days of arrival due to the above COVID-19 reasons, we will refund your 30% deposit in full

• The balance of 70% is due only 7 days before your arrival

• If you cancel within 7 days of arrival due to the above COVID-19 reasons, we will refund the 30% deposit

• Should a cancellation be made for reasons outside of the above two mentioned COVID-19 reasons, our standard cancellation policy applies.

We hope that this adjusted cancellation policy offers our guests more flexibility for the upcoming summer, to help offer ease of mind when booking those long-awaited summer holidays.
